Minimum FAA Part 141 requirements are:

  • 35 hours of ground school - RMFTC's Private Pilot Ground School satisfies this requirement
  • 35 hours of flight training, to include:
    • 20 hours with an instructor
    • 3 hours cross country
    • 3 hours night flight
    • 3 hours instrument training 
    • 5 hours solo

Actual hours differ, with club average running between 55-60 hours.
